For CBTm Facilitators
The CBTm Program and CBTm Facilitator Training were developed by experts in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) from psychiatry, psychology, and social work. Their goal is to improve access to mental health care and support the mental health community through training.
CBTm Facilitator Training
The CBTm Facilitator Training is designed for those familiar with CBT concepts who are interested in delivering the CBTm program. This training equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively facilitate CBTm sessions. All necessary materials for both individual and group delivery are provided, making it a valuable tool for improving mental health outcomes.
Becoming a CBTm Facilitator
CBTm Facilitator Training is offered twice a year—see the link below for details.
Before attending, we encourage you to complete the free online CBTm program to enhance your understanding of CBTm concepts. This firsthand experience strengthens your ability to support clients and deepens your own well-being. Practicing CBTm skills makes your guidance as a facilitator more impactful.
Ongoing CBTm Facilitator Support
After completing the training, we recommend co-facilitating with an experienced facilitator to build confidence and refine your skills. To learn more about observing or co-facilitating CBTm classes, email the CBTm Team at cbtm@umanitoba.ca.
